About the project

In April 2014, the Hauts de France region entrusted MOBILIS with replacing the pylons and the remote control and supervision system for traffic lights at the Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer.

This large-scale project made it possible to improve traffic control and the visibility of traffic lights while avoiding dazzling non-users of the Port.

Operators can control and supervise the status of traffic lights from a simple and ergonomic touch screen control panel installed at the harbor master’s office. They then control 56 lanterns located on pylons at 5 strategic positions in the Port.

The lights installed are high-tech LED lights, with very low energy consumption and a lifespan of 10 years. The light intensity  is automatically adjusted depending on the day or night or the exterior brightness. A manual function allows this intensity to be controlled from the harbor master’s desk.

The control system is carried out by radio and secured via redundancy. Alerts instantly notify operators in the event of a failure.
