The AQ 1500 MOBILIS buoy was supplied as part of the “Wick project”, initiated for the port authorities of Wick in Scotland by Hydrosphere UK Ltd, official MOBILIS distributor in the UK area. A site with particularly difficult weather conditions for the installation of a buoy.
After a CALMAR simulation (catenary mooring line calculation software), Hydrosphere selected the AQ 1500 buoy.
The buoy light is remotely controlled by a system developed by Hydrosphere : Hydrowatch.
