DB 7000 – GPMH – Le Havre

Moored in 2020 by the French Lighthouse Authoritises from Le Havre, the new MOBILIS DB 7000 buoy is equipped with a wave sensor based on the accelerometer principle.

It transmits its data 7 days a week, 24 hours a day via VHF. The measured datas are communicated via an automatic telephone service to ships approaching the Port.

Designed and manufactured for the Grand Port Maritime du Havre, the instrumented buoy is stable, visible and accessible in complete safety, especially for maintenance operations.

At the end of the installation, the MOBILIS team was able to provide training to the agents of the Port of Le Havre on keeping the buoy in operational conditions and on the use of its data.
