In March 2014, MOBILIS installed two metocean buoys in Columbia, one in Cartagena and another one in San Andrès
The General Maritime Direction of Columbia has commissioned MOBILIS to create a scientific and port authority buoy, totally modular and autonomous in energy, able to calculate several maritime elements. Samir BENOUDA was in charge of the project with the help of Jean-François BOUCULAT who was in charge of IT engineering and Michel OZANNAT, technical director.
The Data Buoy 8000 measurements are :
– Wind
– Air temperature
– Humidity
– Pressure
– Visibilit
– Water temperature
– Salinity
– Conductivity
– Waves
– Current profile
In order to measure all of this parameters, the DB 8000 is equipped with various displays such as :
– Meteo station
– Visibility meter
– Rain senso
– ADCP PE support amagnetic
– CTD Sensor SBE 16 plus V2
– Directional wave sensor TRIAXY
The data transmission modes are various : AIS (radio), GPRS, Iridium and GOES. The data are available in DIMAR server, shared in Cartagena, San Andrès and Bogota
